Song Of The Day: Sippin’ Saturday (2/2/13)

Song: Moor Gang (Ft. Jarv Dee)

Artist: Nacho Picasso

Album: For The Glory

So, we finally missed our first SOTD yesterday (sad face), however I’m still gonna post it today anyways…because it’s fucking good. Produced by Blue Sky Black Death and some of Nacho’s first stuff, this is still pretty damn good. Jarv goes in of course. Get this album here.

Song Of The Day: TGI Friday (2/1/13)

Song: Neon Nights (The Afterparty)

Artist: Brothers From Another

Album: Quality Of Living

So, we know we post up a lot of BFA on these Friday/Saturday nights, but you can’t deny this song is DOPE AF to bump in your car on the weekends. The beat/bass from Justo (The Physics) on this is just too good. I need more beats like this in my life. This song is a dope song for the wekend, while the boys still take on some more serious content here. Get the album here!

I just need to make a list of things here about this Letterman performance:

  1. Ray Dalton’s voice is ALWAYS impeccable.
  2. FINALLY they perform this song on TV. Sounds DOPE!
  3. Letterman calling Ryan Lewis just “Lewis.”
  4. And then him calling Ray Dalton Ryan Lewis.
  5. Letterman telling Macklemore to put on a shirt…

Song Of The Day: WE Wednesday (1/30/13)

Song: Be Yourself (Ft. Thig Nat & J. Pinder)

Artist: State Of The Artist

Album: Seattlecalifragalisticextrahelladopeness

Arguably one of the most classic and amazing hip-hop albums in the history of Seattle hip-hop. This album continues to blow my mind every time it comes through my iTunes. Not only are these three MCs DOPE AF, the features are just on point. This represents an older time in the scene to me and embodies some great performances from amazing NW artists. You can buy this album here (dope or your money back, ha.)

Dedicated to the hip hop music coming out of Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Vancouver, and everywhere else in the upper left.
